Seek Authorisation

Each time a quote is saved, the “check if authorisation is required” routine is run. If triggered, then the Lock Version button is replaced with Seek Authorisation.

At this point, the salesman can look on the Help tab (of Quote Header) to see why authorisation is required. If they make adjustments to the quote and then save, the checks are performed again. If none of the thresholds are reached, then the Lock Version button is returned.

Assuming they wish to continue (and they’ve finished putting everything on the quote) they can click the Seek Authorisation button. This will send an email to the salesman’s approval manager and add the quote to the pending authorisation list (on the Quote Authorisation app).
